MAN HELPS DOG HELP MAN

Most of us would like to retire early but not Dru the Border Collie or his owner Steven Ward. As part of the Search and Rescue Association Dru and Steven had successfully completed operations resulting in many saved lives.

Unfortunately at the age 7 Dru had been diagnosed with arthritis and was no longer able to run up the moors like he used to. Steven was also suffering from arthritis but his pain and soreness had been helped by Vitacoll Gold. So he decided to try it out on Dru. Although it had taken Steven six weeks to start to feel the benefit Dru started to show improvement within three weeks. Just two weeks later Dru was back to work saving lives with the Search and Rescue association.

Dru has now reached retirement age but is still very active and is working with Steven to get his new dog to be as good as he was.

CHLOE'S STORY

Chloe (a 9 year old Border Collie) used to enjoy all the attention as a registered "pat dog". Then between Christmas and New Year 2002 she slipped on some ice. Her owner Sheila Jensen heard her crying and immediately went to see what had happened. Chloe had to be carried in doors. The vet confirmed that she had badly injured her spine and hip and would arrange for an x-ray when the facilities re-opened.

Sheila remembered an article she had read about how Vitacoll Gold had helped another border collie, so she e-mailed Vitacoll on the appropriate dosage and ordered straight away. Sheila was very pleasantly surprised as after just 5 days Chloe went into the garden and wanted to play ball. Chloe never had the x-ray and has not looked back. Sheila confirmed with her vet that it was all right to continue to give Chloe Vitacoll Gold, as it would not interfere with any procedures or medication they might have to use in the future.

Sheila has also recently returned to work after an accident but still occasionally fosters dogs on a short term. Chloe continues to have a regular dose of Vitacoll Gold as compared to dogs that Sheila has fostered Chloe seems fitter and younger than dogs of a similar age.

HENRY'S LETTER (with a little help from Simon)

Leicester

12th November 2003

Dear Sir or Madam

I am just dropping you a line to say, on behalf of our arthritic Cocker Spaniel, how wonderful your stuff, sorry, Vitacoll gold is. I am obviously typing this for him as although he has just been to the hairdresser and had his hair clipped from his feet, they are not altogether adept at typing skills. This is being dictated to me by Henry through telepathy!

"Being a 12 year old Cocker I certainly do not feel it and by no means act it. Vitacoll Gold has really made a difference to my well being although I am not so good with the old mince pies (eyes) I can give the 8 year old Cocker (the other one) a run for his money - well I think I can. My Gran (human) put me onto it when I heard the Story about the mountain rescue dog that was going to be retired because of his arthritis, he was recommended the "stuff" and went back to work. So my Mum & Dad (human) got me some "stuff" and sure enough after two to three weeks they noticed that I looked a lot better in myself and seemed a lot better thanks to you and your "stuff" (I have mine in scrambled eggs). I've now got my other Gran on to it (again human) and she seems a lot better to."

Once again thank you for giving our dog a better quality of life (and the human).

Yours faithfully

Simon Boot and Henry the Cocker Spaniel

RALPH'S STORY

Marathon runner Joanne Stubbs in 2000 decided that she could do with some company on her training runs. A 3-year-old Springer Spaniel from a rescue centre caught her eye and the partnership began. Ralph enjoyed his outings but Joanne noticed him starting to struggle that she thought was odd for such a young dog. On taking Ralph to her local vet Joanne's worst fears were realised as Ralph was diagnosed with the early signs of arthritis. The only option at the time was to put Ralph on anti-inflammatories.

A training pal then pointed out an article in her magazine on how Vitacoll Gold had helped another dog.

After checking with the vet that there was no harm in Ralph trying Vitacoll Gold Joanne started sprinkling it on Ralph's food daily. Within three weeks Joanne started to notice an improvement in Ralph's movement and that was three years ago and he is still going strong. Joanne was delighted with the results and says "I was concerned about the long term effects that drugs may have had on Ralph so to find something natural that works was very pleasing.

Joanne is hoping to complete the 2005 London Marathon and we wish her well and so does Ralph so they can keep training together.
